Using Meditation in the Therapy Hour to Prevent Compassion Fatigue
Everyone who works in a healing profession is vulnerable to feeling emotionally exhausted, questioning our ability to be of service. We might find ourselves looking at the clock when with clients, feeling irritable in general, or annoyed at “not getting through” to our clients. We might feel tension, fatigue or dread when at work. Learning how to make the therapy hour a meditation - where we are aware in a spacious, impersonal and yet poignant way - can prevent compassion fatigue altogether. This is a FREE intro workshop, where we’ll learn a few immediately applicable techniques to infuse our work with this type of awareness and the compassion that springs from it.
There is no set day or time for this workshop yet. It is in process.
I am seeking clinicians who are familiar with the warning signs of, or full-blown compassion fatigue, to talk with me about your experience so I can better tailor the material to all clinicians! If you’re interested in talking with me, OR just interested in finding out about this workshop when it’s available, please fill out the form below. Thanks!
